Visa Interview Preparations
After necessary fees is paid and submission of required immigration visa application to the National visa centre (NVC), which will review your file for completeness and once your case becomes qualified for an interview, NVC will work with appropriate Australian and Canadian embassy or Consulate to schedule an appointment for the interview.

Then the appointment letter for the said purpose will be sent to you as well as the petitioner and the agent to notify you and them with the date, time and the location of the interview.
 
Supporting documents are sent to embassy or consulate. Once your interview appointment is scheduled; NVC sends the immigrant visa petition, visa application and all related forms and documents which were submitted to NVC to appropriate embassy/consulate.

After receiving interview notification, it is vital that you prepare yourself for the visa interview. Each visa applicant will need to complete a number of important steps in advance of interview date, including:

Gathering original documents and bringing them to the visa interview
Schedule and complete a medical examination with authorized physicians
